Four Flowers and Two Hands

Hi Everyone! I know it has been a few days since I've posted, but my teaching load has increased, and I've been feeling rather fatigued lately. Belated 'Happy Valentine's day' to everyone! I revamped my picture of the posies, because this finished picture is how I envisioned it, but I didn't have enough time to finish it before. It is an acrylic painting, and it is much larger than my scanner. So, I will have to wait till my son comes home from school to take a full size picture of it. My other new expressionist inspired paintings are still hanging at the group show at: Couth Buzzard Books - Espresso Buono in Greenwood. I have a super long day tomorrow and a gig tomorrow night with Granite Reign. So, night night.
ps: My student, Elaine, turned me onto the beautiful music from the Okami game - This is the piano version of The Sun Rises.

Four Flowers and Two Hands
Four flowers and two hands
Searching across strange lands
For that would be true love
That would be golden dove
That will bring happily ever after
Evermore

Orange Sunset

Hi everyone! I was feeling a bit under the weather today, so I only taught the after school keyboard class today. I'll keep this posting short and sweet. The youtube link - is in celebration of Mozart's birthday - January 27th, 1756 - Mozart Symphony #40 in G Minor, K 550 - 1. Molto Allegro
After having taken a brief walk around my neighborhood this evening, I was inspired to paint this sunset picture and write the poem below.
Nighty night. xxoo

Orange Sunset
Orange sunset
Dipping into the angry sea
What quixotic thoughts
Have you painted
Will they curve the corners of lips upward
Or leave hearts forlorn

The Chicken or the Egg?

Hola. Well I stayed up till 5 am reading this morning, so yeah, I'm beat. I taught bass, piano, and guitar today. I've also been increasing my daily exercise to get ready for my music videos I plan on making this summer. I still need a few more hours in a row so I can figure out the music posting to my blog. I can't wait till I add the creative music element to my blog.
This posting was inspired by a drawing of an egg I found. Nighty night. xxoo

The Chicken or The Egg
Which came first
The chicken or the egg?
Wikipedia bets on the egg
Hindu mythology claims
We originated from the ‘cosmic egg’
Miss Salks, a modern philosopher of sorts
States the egg existed for other species
Before the chicken
And finally Mr. Darwin
Concludes with his Theory of Evolution
The egg came first
I say scramble some chicken
Into the egg
Eat it for breakfast and see
What you say
What came first the chicken or the egg?

My Son

Hola. Since it is 3:30 am, and I'm beyond exhaustion - here is another quicky. I was going to watch the finale of Project Runway for tonight's blog inspiration, since I missed the show Thursday night due a gig, but I'm going to wait till tomorrow so that I'm not too tired to enjoy the show. All my students that I taught today are incredibly talented and inspiring. My wonderful son helped me teach my violin student this morning and he is going to cook me a birthday dinner tomorrow before going back to school, thus he is my inspiration for my blog posting. The illustration is a drawing of the beach where Michael, my son, and I enjoy hiking to.
Nighty night. xxoo

My Son
Thanks Michael for being my son
For loving me
When others are done
Thanks for letting me
Take care of you
Thanks for allowing me
To be your mother too
You are the kindest, wisest,
Smartest, nicest and most moral man I know
You are my favorite birthday present ever
Always know

Walking on My Hands

Hi Everyone, boy, okay, I won't say it - I'm so _____. I'm looking forward to Sunday night when I get a little break. I finished my third gig tonight with Brainstorm at the Timberline in Granite Falls, and I only have one more to go tomorrow/Sat. however you look at the earlier morning time which is still Friday to me since I haven't gone to sleep yet. I'm happy my son is home from college. Yahooey! I do have to wake up early tomorrow - later this morning - to teach all day till I leave for my gig, so I'll make this quick! Thanks for reading and looking at my blog. Nighty night! xxoo

Walking On My Hands
Walking on my hands
I take a different stand
Recognizing from horses eyes
Another’s silly disguise
To hide a truth
Deep within their roots
Compassion I feel
But first
My own open wounds
I must heal
