End of The World

Hi Everyone! I guess we survived Judgement day. I was looking forward to a nap. Oh well. Here is a link for anyone who is interested in the doomsday predictions: Judgement day! I had a fun gig last weekend playing with Scott Rosburg (Striker), and Rick Spano (Randy Hansen's drummer). I am a little more deaf now as a byproduct of the gig. Two pieces of my art - Piano Teacher -drawing, and Four Flowers and Two Hands acrylic painting were juried into the upcoming Edmonds Art Festival.
It is held June 17th, 18th, and 19th. There is a link under the name Edmonds Art Festival. My other Modern Expressionism art is still hanging at Couth Buzzard Books. I've decided for this month to sell my art that is hanging there for 50% off the larger pictures and 30% off the smaller pictures and print. I have cards to sell there too. I'll be updating my Laurie Miller Modern art site this week, and Betty is still working on my official new art site. I can't wait to see it. I've currently been having a lot of fun on a new music site that I joined a couple of weeks ago called Reverbnation. It has a lot of my songs from my current CDs and my Missing Children band posted there. I also was recently listed at the MySeattleNightOut site.
I'm under the Punk category for bands, which I wear well. I have some more news updates, but I'll write again - sooner next time I promise. Nighty night xxooo

Alien Guitar World

Hi Everyone! Okay, I actually have a Friday night off - yahooey. After my gig last night, I posted my blog, obtained about two hours of sleep, and then worked on finishing a drawing and a painting before teaching a couple of lessons. I then had an hour and a half to complete the art pieces and submit to the Edmonds art festival online before teaching a violin and guitar lesson. My cold is feeling worse tonight, so I'm going to drink another Theraflu and hit the hay. Nighty night. xxoo

Alien Guitar World
Geometric shapes
Cutting the atmosphere
Primary complimentary colors
Splattered everywhere
Cats scratching
Orange and green guitars
Shapeless hands and eyes
Speckle the land near and far
Yellow and green aliens
Singing to their clans
Strange low pitch sounds
Waiting to expand

Weird Energy

Okey schmookey. I'm home from my Tim Turner jam tonight at the Redline in West Seattle with Billy Spaulding on drums. I always enjoy hearing a lot of talent play at the jam. It is now 2:45 am, and after posting my blog I need to finish my river painting for the Edmonds art festival deadline tomorrow. I can't believe I'm still awake since I had double dose of severe cold medicine along with a Theraflu. I'm going to sleep well tomorrow night. Night night. xxoo

Weird Energy
Weird Energy
Buzzing through the atmosphere
Why is this occurring?
A conundrum exists
Maybe Jupiter is slipping to the left
Maybe Mars is
Taking a recess
Acknowledging the foremost
Thought of all
It is not what is happening to you
it is how you are reacting

Beautiful River

Hi everyone, my schedule has been thrown off by this cold I'm fighting. I took some Theraflu last night, thus I fell asleep before I posted my makeup blog. My son, Michael, achieved Honor Roll at Central Washington University College of Business for the Winter 2010 term. I'm so proud of him, and if you get a chance - check out his photography blog: http://northwestphotoman.blogspot.com/2010/04/woot.html
My inspiration for my blog posting tonight is my painting of the Stillaguamish river. The Stillaguamish river is a wonderul river here in the pacific northwest, which is great for fly fishing or floating on. The Edmonds art festival deadline is Friday, so I need to finish the painting of the river tonight if I'm going to submit it by Friday. Night night. xxoo

Beautiful River
Beautiful river
Flowing so serene
Integrating with rocks
With the greatest of ease
Sometimes creating
Ruff patches of water
Always returning
With strength
To the perfection
Called nature
